Chiang Mai has several golf clubs, ranging from 9 to 18 hole greens.
The green and caddy fees vary from place to place and are cheaper on weekdays
than on weekends. There are golf clubs and electric cars for rent. Chiang Mai
also has three driving ranges. The Royal Chiangmai Golf Resort

30 minutes from Chiangmai, is set in the foothills of Northern Thailand. Designed
and developed by 5 times British Open winner Peter Thomson and Michael Wolveridge,
this 18 hole, par 72, parkland style course uses elements from a British links
style course, including bumpy gently rolling fairways, pot bunkers and closely
mowed areas around the greens. Fairways and greens as well as side bunkers calls
for accurate play, rather than long hitting. There is not a substandard hole on

Golf Club
features contoured terrain liberally provided with water hazards and scenic
creeks that test the golfer's skill. Designed and built by Dr. Sukapanpotharam
it's an excellent course which combines the best English, Scottish and American
design features. Calling for accurate and thoughtful play over and around water
and trees, the clever bunker design rewards accuracy around the greens. Hole 9,
requires the player to negotiate water hazards on both sides of the fairway. The
club house and other facilities are unpretentious and service is typical of Chiang
Mai's warm hospitality. Lanna Golf Club
One of the oldest in Chiang Mai and only 15 minutes from the centre. The 18
holes are laid out on flat fields and separated by big trees. Players can also
enjoy many facilities such as horse riding track, shooting, swimming pool and

Country Club
Around 30 - 40 minutes drive from the city centre. This 18 Hole - Par 72 course
was designed by Denis Griffiths & Associate Inc. with several water hazards
along the long fairways. Hundreds of palm trees decorate the course, with scenic
