| Although Thailand's second city, Chiang
Mai is very small and easy to navigate. Very little accommodation around the airport,
as the city's west side is only 10 minutes away!
A number of established
hotels are located here. Local transport is good with taxis and buses operating
around the area on a regular basis. The old city walls are only about 15 minutes
away. Close by is new shopping and entertainment complex with department stores,
restaurants, cinemas, food halls, a theatre, tenpin bowling and even an ice rink!
